I hesitated to review this, but here goes: I was very excited to get this product. It Does help stop diarrhea...But there were some unpleasant side effects. The first time I drank 1/2 the shake, I almost passed out about 20 minutes later, had to run to get to the sofa and lie there awhile. The next 2 times were a little less severe, but my sleep was always disrupted. I got another brand of protein shake after I'd already ordered the 2nd tub and began mixing them. Even with 1 scoop added to the other brand, I was awake for the first 3 hours the 1st night and very broken sleep. The next time I tried it, I was awake for 4 hours and very little sleep. The main reason, imo, is the maltodextrin. It is an alias for msg, And causes higher sugar spikes than high fructose corn syrup. I knew that going in, but was pretty desperate to stop the diarrhea at that point. So, maybe others are not as sensitive as I am, and it does help with that issue. If that ingredient was changed out to something healthier, it would be great. Also, I recently found out that stevia spikes progesterone and can cause fertility issues.
Another huge issue the shipping times. From IBD it's about a week or more, from the maker's site, it took 2 weeks. There are people who are desperately ill and the wait time is really rough.

Sadly I found the Absorb Plus French Vanilla too sweet for me. I could not get through my 2nd glass. So disappointed.., as a recently found stricture in my distal ileum has me off solids for awhile. Is there a way to return this?? And or is there an absorb plus unsweetened?? I am new at this site so I do not know the return policies?? Thank you.

I ordered this the other day and this is how the container was when I opened it. I assume it happened while it was being delivered.
